It is recommended that students on the UNC Insurance Plan seek care first at the Student Health Center (SHC) where treatment for most issues can be handled. 简单的访问 and in house tests are covered at 100% with a $20 copay. 如实验室工作或其他项目 被送出校园，500美元的免赔额适用吗.

The UNC Insurance Plan offers our students an excellent medical insurance option. The plan is a major medical 保险计划 with a low $500 per year deductible, and 然后在网络中支付80%的保险费用

The plan uses the Cigna network of physicians and can be used anywhere there is a 信诺提供者. The plan includes a pharmaceutical benefit, mental health coverage, 医生就诊和住院保险.

• What you need to know if you are covered by the UNC Health Insurance Plan

  Students covered on the UNC Insurance Plan will not have a deductible for covered services at the Student Health Center located in Cassidy Hall. 学生将被收费 20美元的共付费用和覆盖的服务将100%支付. 你将负责 the $500 deductible if you go to a clinic other than the Student Health Center. 实验室 work or other services that are sent outside of the health Center will also be subject 每年的免赔额.
